– Multi Channel Pre-amplifier

ORPHEUS TWO is a versatile multi-channel analogue domain pre-amplifier with digital control of volume setting. It can be configured as a pure stereo pre-amplifier or as a multi-channel pre-amplifier.

The configuration being software based, fast and easy switching from one setup to another is possible. ORPHEUS TWO has following operation modes.

Stereo
Input : six pairs unbalanced and one pair balanced
Output : four pairs unbalanced and one pair balanced

Single multi-channel
Input : one six-channel block; three pairs unbalanced and one pair balanced for stereo
Output : multi-channel block with parallel main channels

Dual multi-channel
Input : two six-channel blocks; one pair balanced for stereo
Output : multi-channel block with parallel main channels

ORPHEUS TWO fulfills the needs of pure stereo applications as well as multi-channel setups such as those required for SACD and DVD-A, or even multi-amplification stereo systems. ORPHEUS TWO has a monitoring loop made of unbalanced input and output. The monitoring section can be used as an additional stereo input or it can feed an active multi-amplification system with ORPHEUS TWO serving for master volume control. Each input and output channel has an independent volume level setup to optimize the interface between ORPHEUS TWO and, for instance, sources having different output levels.
